Making Your Own Prom/Grad/Wedding Dress

So here I show how I put together my sisters grad dress. I did her hair and make up as well.\r

The outside fabric is taffeta/shantung with gold thread embroidery.\r
The lining is linning fabric.\r
The black strips to hold the body is called boning or Rigeline Boning.\r
The corset part is plain white broadcloth.(you need something stiff that doesnt stretch) \r
I dont remember exly the cost of fabric but it was less than $100 for sure, probably around $70-80\r
The cost depends on how well you can find cheap materials, for this dress I paid around $4/meter, the lining and other materials dont cost that much. The time, depends on how knowledgable you are about sewing, Im not sure for me, but it was over 12 hours+.\r
