A cloudless sky and baking temperatures greeted drivers at the Angmering Raceway in West Sussex in the south of England yesterday (May 7) in which 12 drivers competed in the annual car jumping contest.

The brave banger-car drivers accelerated their vehicles over a ramp in an attempt to fly over a line of assembled old wrecks and land safely on the opposite side.

Needless to say, those that fell from the sky and crashed into the line of old vehicles in spectacular fashion got some of the biggest applause.
