Officers from the New York Police Department rescued a man who jumped from FDR Drive into the East River near the East 34th Street ferry terminal on Monday, May 7.A spokesman from the NYPD’s press office said the man was “emotionally disturbed” and had been taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
