Born (Oct 6, 1946) in Peshawar, British India (now in Pakistan), his father was into textiles & dyes business\r

When he was a few months old, due to partition his family left Peshawar and reached Mumbai\r

He was sent to the Barnes Boarding School in Deolali, and completed Bcom from Sydenham College, Mumbai\r

At 22, his firstwas released and within week he signed 15 films and soon became a reckoning or\r

At the peak of his career in 1982, he conducted a press conference stating that he was leaving the film industry indefinitely\r

He moved to Rajneeshpuram in Oregan, USA and spent 4 years meditating & working as a gardener in Oshos Ashram\r
