A special Central Bureau of Investigation court to deliver its verdict in the murder case of Mumbai journalist Jyotirmoy Dey. J Dey was shot dead on June 11, 2011, when he was on his way home in Powai. According to the prosecution, gangster Chhota Rajan’s men and 7 others had followed Dey and later one of them shot him with a .32 bore pistol near Powai garden, later the gang fled. According to special public prosecutor Pradeeep Gharat, chota Rajan planned to kill Dey because of the articles he had published against him.
