John Slattery takes a look at three, 2003 model, performance luxury cars - a Lexus LS430, a Jaguar XJR and an Audi A8, as he puts their performance and handling to the test, as well as seeing how luxurious and practical they are. The LS430 on paper is weakest in terms of power output, producing around 281bhp, whilst the XJR produces a massive 400bhp from it's 4.2 litre V8, and the Audi A8 sits in the middle of the two in the power department, but has an advantage in terms of handling with it's impressive Quattro 4-wheel drive technology.
