The Lexus RC F offers the superb build quality Lexus is famed for, but with sledgehammer performance from that big – and thirsty – 5.0-litre V8 engine.

Lexus has made a name for itself building hybrid models, but as the Lexus LF A supercar proved, it's also pretty capable at building performance cars.

So step forward the Lexus RC F – a high-performance sports coupe in the mould of the BMW M4 and Audi RS5. All three models offer the same sort of upmarket brand appeal, similar performance and a price tag of around £70,000.
