Alligator Wrangled From Florida Neighborhood

Floridian Marietta Black captured video of an alligator being wrangled out of a Sumter County community on April 28.The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FCW) was alerted after the gator was spotted at residence The Villages, according to reports. The reptile is believed to be male, which is at least 11 feet long and weighs up to 600-pounds. It was seized from the front porch of a home, whose owner was away at the time of the incident.The video shows a crowd watching the capturing of the agitated animal, who is then taken to a gator processing facility.Alligator mating season occurs between May and June, when male gators are more likely to be out in search of female mates, according to the FCW.
