Changing Brake Pads and Disks on a Toyota Yaris

My aunts yaris had warped brake disks, although the steering wheel didnt judder under braking, when the brakes were applied above 30mph the car would shudder quite violently, the braking force wasnt very strong either.\r
The car had sat for a while after a small crash last year, and after getting it back on the road the brakes were never right.\r

The pair of disks and pads only cost £50, they are quite easy to change on the yaris and definatley a DIY job. The only thing is to make sure you get the right parts from your motor fors, there are french and japanese built yari (is that the plural of yaris?) The vin number is the best place to check to find out where it was made, although most motor fors can tell by the registration of the car.\r

After changing the disks and pads the car stops without any juddering, and it stops much quicker.\r

I used the torque wrench in this video, normally when Im working on cars i dont bother with it, but Ive had questions in the past on other videos for the torque numbers of various nuts and bolts. Normally tightening them up with common sense to avoid breaking them does well enough but the torque wrench is a much more precise way to tighten them up. I used the torque numbers found in a yaris haynes manual to tighten them up.
