Truss says there are 'positive signs' despite GDP tumble

The Chief Secretary to the Treasury has said there are “positive signs in the UK economy” despite GDP falling to a five-year low. After the figures were released today, Elizabeth Truss MP admitted “they aren’t as good as what we would hope for” but said a fast rise in the rate of investment into the UK was positive.
