Salman's Father Salim Khan SUPPORTS Womens Entering In Haji Ali Dargah
  • 6 years ago
Salim Khan, veteran writer and Salman Khan’s father, welcomed Bombay High Court’s verdict allowing women to enter the Haji Ali Dargah. He said that this verdict endorses what Hadees and Quran say. Muslim clerics and scholars have questioned this verdict by saying that, although they respect the law, allowing women to enter Haji Ali Dargah is going against Islam.

But Salim Khan thinks differently. He says that it is the “Mullas and Maulvis” who have “complicated an uncomplicated religion like Islam”.

On Saturday, Salim tweeted: “High court judgement on Haji Ali endorses what Hadees and Quran have said. To be a good Muslim, you have to be a good human being.” “Mazar and Durga are graves men and women both can visit them as there is no gender discrimination in Islam,” he adds. Even Fatwa, he says, is not a verdict as people think, it’s an opinion given by an Islamic scholar.
