Vladimir Uglev has reportedly been hit by a car in Russia.
The scientist claimed to be one of the developers of the Novichok nerve agent.
It was used to poison Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in England.
Uglev says the Skripals were "not the first victims" of the Russian-created poison.
He believes a 70-year-old resident of his village hit him by accident.
