Interview - Augusto Yepes (Miller SoundClash Champion 2015)

Augusto Yepes' Miller SoundClash experience came full circle last month. The 2015 Champion returned to Las Vegas to take a seat on the judging panel, alongside Grammy nominated mixing/mastering engineer, Luca Pretolesi, and representatives from DJ Mag and AfterCluv Dance Lab.
The Colombian DJ – who won the judges hearts in 2015 – brought unique insight to the judging panel. As a DJ who understands the pressure of stepping into the famous Marquee Day Club DJ booth, Yepes was invaluable to the judging team.
"It's great to be back" Augusto told DJ Mag before the Miller SoundClash Live Final, "But it’s different this year, I am much more relaxed!"
Relaxed he may have been. Yet it was a relentless schedule for the affable DJ. In addition to judging the live final, Augusto performed sets at Marquee Day Club, Hyde at The Bellagio and the famous Omnia Las Vegas Terrace, across the course of Miller SoundClash weekend.
It has been a huge year for Yepes. Since being crowned Miller SoundClash champion, he has released his debut single on AfterCluv Dance Lab (Universal Music), and has performed shows across the world.
DJ Mag caught up with Augusto at one of his shows in the Colombian city of Barranquilla, just before he flew to Las Vegas.
