Surf boats and flares were used to re-enact the WWI landings at Gallipoli during an Anzac Day dawn service at Terrigal on New South Wales’s central coast on April 25.Triple M reported military veterans and thousands of coastal residents marched out to Terrigal Beach to lay wreaths and watch a surf boat recreation of the landings 103 years ago along the Turkish coast.The Gallipoli Campaign was a disastrous British-led offensive against the Ottoman Empire during the first World War, that resulted in significant casualties for Anzac forces.
