Congress has given notice of impeachment motion against Principal Judge Dipak Mishra. The Congress had opposed a similar act 25 years ago while in power. Even before this, the impeachment proposal has been thrice but Congress opposed it twice and in the third the judge himself resigned. And now in the tenure of the Modi government, the opposition led by Congress led the impeachment motion.

प्रधान न्यायाधीश दीपक मिश्रा के खिलाफ विपक्ष ने महाभियोग प्रस्ताव का नोटिस दिया है । कांग्रेस ने 25 साल पहले सत्ता में रहते हुए ऐसी ही एक कार्यवाही का विरोध किया था. इससे पहले भी महाभियोग प्रस्ताव तीन बार लाया गया है लेकिन दो बार इसका कांग्रेस ने विरोध किया और तीसरे में जज ने खुद इस्तीफा दे दिया । और अब मोदी सरकार के कार्यकाल में कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व में विपक्ष महाभियोग प्रस्ताव लाया है।
