TN Governor apologised, is an apology enough to undo damage caused by casual ease

After patting a female journalist on her cheek without her consent, TN governor Banwarilal has finally come out with an apology. Minutes after the apology, journalist Lakshmi Subramaniam, vicitm to the shocking incident accepted the governor’s apology but said she and I quote 'I am not convinced about your contention that you did it to appreciate a question I asked'. The whole incident took place in a press conference organised by Banwari Lal Purohit over allegations in the Chennai Anna university sexual favour case. The Tamil Nadu journalist federation has also written to governor calling his action a violation of her rights as a woman at worst demanding action. Meanwhile, DMK has staged protest at Raj Bhavan demanding recall of Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit.
