Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah paid tribute to 12th century Lingayat philosopher and social reformer Basaveshwara on the occasion of Basava Jayanthi, the birth anniversary of Basaveshwara. Shah garlanded Basaveshwara’s statue in Bengaluru on Wednesday. He is on a two-day campaign tour of election-bound Karnataka.
