J. Cole’s Surprise Album ‘KOD’ Dropping on Friday Cole previewed the 12-track album at a surprise listening party at New York’s Gramercy Theatre on Monday. Rap Radar’s B.Dot, who was at the event, said the album’s title, ‘KOD,’ has three meanings: Kidz on Drugz, King Overdose and Kill Our Demonz. According to B.Dot, ‘KOD’ was apparently recorded in two weeks. Cole has released an album on short notice before, dropping ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ without much buildup. ‘KOD’ precedes Cole’s 2016 effort, ‘4 Your Eyez Only.’ The album is Cole’s fifth and it will be released on Cole’s Dreamville label via Roc Nation and Interscope.
