Pamela Anderson’s mother Carol convinced her to appear in Playboy magazine in the late 80s.

The 50-year-old actress shot to fame when she appeared on the publication’s cover in the October 1989 issue and moved to Los Angeles to further her modelling career.

Pamela recalls how she was initially unsure about taking part in the scantily-clad photo shoots, but then talks about how her mom Carol encouraged her.

“My first reaction was no and I talked to my mother and she said, ‘Why not? Get out of this small town, go to Los Angeles. How exciting.’”

Well… That’s a piece of advice you thought you’d never hear from your mom!
