Donald Glover to Host and Perform as Musical Guest on ‘Saturday Night Live’ Glover will appear on the show May 5, the first time that he has been on ‘SNL’ in either role. The actor/writer/producer will perform music from his stage name, Childish Gambino. Glover currently writes and stars in ‘Atlanta’ and will also play Lando Calrissian in ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ in May. He will join a small list of performers who have hosted and been the musical guest in the same episode on ‘SNL’, including Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez.
