Newser reports that while 'the mice ate the marijuana' sounds a bit too much like 'the dog ate my homework,' authorities in Argentina heard exactly that from eight police officers who have now been fired over the disappearance of around 1,200 pounds of pot. The Guardian originally reported that the officers in Pinar argued that the missing drugs had been 'eaten by mice' in the warehouse for impounded drugs.
