FX's 'Pose' Sees Largest Cast of Transgender Actors in U.S. TV History The series will focus on the 1980’s ball culture world in New York City with the largest cast of transgender actors in recurring roles ever on a U.S. television series. The five transgender actors, MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Hailie Sahar and Angelica Ross, will also portray transgender characters. In January, one of the creators behind the series, Ryan Murphy, told reporters: “The show is about the search for being authentic, about creating opportunities.” “We're past an era of straight men playing these roles. It's time to think differently and offer more opportunities to people who want to work.” Brad Fulchuk, who collaborated with Murphy on ‘American Horror Story,’ and Steven Canals are both co-creators of the series. FX’s ‘Pose’ will premiere on June 3.
