Priyanka Chopra speaks out against gender discrimination

At a press conference held in New Delhi, organised by the health ministry and the World Health Organisation, Indian actress and UNICEF Goodwill ambassador Priyanka Chopra spoke out against gender discrimination. She said that the value of a girl child is unfortunately never the same as a boy. She also addressed the important role families can play in raising their daughters and their sons as equals. She was accompanied by the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda, and the national coordinator of White Ribbon Alliance India, Aparajita Gogoi.
