Instagram, a photo, and video-sharing social networking service will soon let users download the copy of their data. This will be similar to its parent company Facebook’s download your information tool. The tool will help users to monitor the amount of data they have on the platform. It will also help Facebook comply with forthcoming European data privacy norms, General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR). The rule also compels the social media platform to delete user’s data at their request.
