After Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg endured hours long grilling by dozens of us senators for the recent Cambridge Analytica data breach that has left the world shocked, Law minister Ravishankar Prasad has hit out at Congress Prez Rahul Gandhi, seeking his apology on data leak. As well, Zuckerberg during the senate probe at Capitol Hill, meanwhile, repeatedly apologised and promised privacy reforms. Zuckerberg told us senators that his company will do everything to ensure fair polling takes place in India and other countries.

He also expressed regret that his company was slow in identifying the Russian operations in 2016. The hearing is taking place after reports started pouring in march that the social networking site had compromised with the personal data of over 87 million Facebook users to Britain-based Cambridge Analytica - which allegedly influenced voters during the 2016 us presidential elections as well as polls in India.
