Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologises to US Senate

Under attack for the company's worst privacy debacle, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg batted away often-aggressive questioning from lawmakers who accused him of failing to protect the personal information of millions of Americans from Russians intent on upsetting the US election. During some five hours of Senate questioning, Zuckerberg apologised several times. Zuckerberg even ensured that his company would be a party in any kind of meddling in upcoming elections, including in India. Zuckerberg has been on an apology tour for most of the past two weeks, culminating in this congressional appearance. The hearing was about the scandal in which Cambridge Analytica used Facebook to access 87 million users
