NewsX Senior Editor Atir Khan has spoken to BJP MP Udit Raj who had earlier written to CBI seeking the arrest of ICICI bank Chief Chanda Kochhar and her husband Deepak for an alleged criminal conspiracy to squander public money running in thousands of crores of rupees through fake loans. In his interview, Udit Raj has revealed that he had earlier taken up the issue in 2013 citing reports of whistleblower but at that time Chanda Kochhar was seen as strong personality and no action was taken. Udit Raj on April 6 had written a 3 page letter to CBI director Alok Kumar citing a complaint of whistleblower Arvind Gupta that reportedly shows the misuse of power authority by Chanda in criminal conspiracy with husband Deepak and Videocon Chief Venugopal Dhoot. Raj has also demanded that the Padma Bhushan conferred on Chanda Kochhar be taken back in light of the fresh revelations of loot and money laundering.
