DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Mavericks (24-58) closed the regular season in front of a home crowd against the Phoenix Suns (21-61). As expected, key players like Harrison Barnes, Dennis Smith Jr., and J. J. Barea did not suit up for the final matchup. Instead, we saw young guns like Aaron Harrison, Yogi Ferrell, and Maxi Kleber flex their skills.
The Suns followed suit by benching their top players as well like Devin Booker, Marquese Chriss, and TJ Warren.
Mavs veteran Dirk Nowitzki addressed the media before the game to ensure his return for a 21st season here with Dallas.
