Battleground Karnataka Panchayat poll politics peaks; protest outside EC office in Kolkata

With the Karnataka polls just around the corner, the state has witnessed a phenomenal rise in demand for tickets for netas' family members. With the congress leading the way, 30 sitting MLAs have likely sought tickets for their wives, sons or daughters. BJP and JD(S) though behind in the race, aren’t completely out of it. Chief Ministerial candidate B.S. Yeddyurappa’s son B.Y. Vijayendra is also likely in the queue for a ticket.
