Nearly 50 black kites were mysteriously found dead in Siliguri. An investigation is underway in this regard to ascertain the reason behind the deaths. The wildlife experts and veterinary doctors suspect food poisoning may be the cause of death because these birds are scavengers. The post-mortem was conducted and viscera samples have been sent to Kolkata for tests.
