One Killed, Dozens Wounded In Clashes In Central African Republic

On Sunday, a UN spokesman said that at least one civilian was killed and dozens more, including UN peacekeepers, were injured during an operation against armed groups in Central African Republic’s capital.Witnesses said that heavy gunfire erupted in Bangui as peacekeepers and domestic security forces moved in to dismantle militia bases there. Central African Republic was torn apart after mainly Muslim Seleka rebels ousted the president in 2013 provoking retaliation killings by armed groups.
