Aurora Station to Be World's First Luxury Hotel in Space
A space technology start-up named Orion Span announced the service at Thursday’s Space 2.0 Summit in San Jose, California.
The 12-day space expedition will send lucky guests 200 miles above Earth’s surface in low Earth orbit.
Aurora Station will orbit Earth every 90 minutes, allowing guests to experience 16 sunrises and sunsets over the course of 24 hours.
How much does this epic journey cost? Only $9.5 million.
Orion Space is accepting reservations now with an $80,000 deposit to secure a spot on the waitlist.
Guests will be selected starting in 2022, and they will have to complete three months of training as part of Orion Span’s Astronaut Certification (OSAC) program.
