US election jitters grip markets

The news sent a fresh wave of nervousness about the US election through the financial markets. The S&P 500 fell as did the yield on short dated US Treasuries. Investors see the US Federal Reserve as less likely to go ahead with a December rate rise if Donald Trump wins the election.
