Governments are increasingly using online and digital means to communicate with citizens. The UK government's website, gov.uk, recently won the Design Museum's Design of the Year award and was built using open-source technology. Tom Loosemore of Government Digital Service and Bryan Glick of Computer Weekly talk to the FT's Seb Morton-Clark about the potential of open source software to be deployed in other aspects of governance.
