Exploring the 'Singing Violin' of Kala Ramnath: ART TALK

Brilliant Indian classical violinist, Kala Ramnath, talks of how she tries to make her instrument 'sing', like the human voice. The artiste has been called one of the 'Top 50' instrumentalists in the world. Kala started learning from her great aunt, Dr. N. Rajam, and was then mentored by the legendary vocalist, Pandit Jasraj. She now performs all over India and the world on the classical stage. She is also involved in several exciting collaborations with Western classical, Jazz and popular musicians, including in the past with Ray Manzarek of The Doors. Kala Ramnath is on the show Art Talk with Jujhar Singh (NewsX channel). Art Talk is the leading arts show on Indian news television.
