Former minister of Ethiopia, Hailemariam Desalegn warmly welcomed the new prime minster Dr Abiy Ahmed to the place. The president of Oromia regional state, Lemma Megersa, and other officials were present during the reception.The first lady, Zinash Tayachew and their kids were welcomed to the palace.
