There are only a handful of games that are allowed to be dark and depressing: Batman games, Alone In The Dark games, Silent Hill games, or any other type of survival horror titles. A side scrolling shooter has absolutely NO REASON to look like an H.P. Lovecraft made for TV .\r

The Final Fantasy game in this video on the other hand is really very good. The racing game, it had great graphics for its time but its controls feel like controlling a horse on meth.\r
