The singer has been going strong with former MLB star Alex Rodriguez since last year, and a source tells OK! that he has popped the question, and even enlisted the help of their kids. Jennifer has a set of twins, Emme and Max, while Alex has two daughters, Ella and Natasha.

The insider says A-Rod popped the question over St. Patrick’s Day weekend. “This has been a long time coming.”

The two have been inseparable since they started dating, and just purchased a NYC apartment together for a whopping $15.3 million.

Alex made sure his proposal was memorable, as the source told OK! he and their kids baked Jennifer a cake for the special occasion. How cute is that?!
