President Trump spoke at an infrastructure event in Ohio on Thursday, and during his speech gave himself a pat on the back for all he's accomplished since taking office.
"I have gotten done much more than I promised…We've done a lot of things that I didn't even promise because I figured it couldn't happen," Trump said. One of his biggest promises during the campaign was setting in motion a $1 trillion infrastructure plan, an effort that has yet to pick up any notable momentum.  He also talked about how quickly he would repeal the Affordable Care Act. While a great deal of time was spent on attempts to do so, none were successful. "So far...Trump has not succeeded in constructing his border wall, nor has come anywhere close to deporting the more than 2 million people he promised," notes NPR. However, the president has been successful in fulfilling other promises. A number of his judiciary nominations, including one for the U.S. Supreme Court, have been approved, as has the $1.5 trillion tax plan.  The president also announced the US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement and has rolled back a number of environmental regulations.
