How to: MOISTURIZE LOW POROSITY HAIR | Lioness Davis

  • hace 6 años
The struggle with moisturizing natural hair is something I am very familiar with. \r
I spent many years not understanding why the LOC method didnt work and also why my hair didnt look like others in tutorials/pictures. \r
I then came across the LCO method which to me makes much more sense when you think about the order you place products in your hair. \r

The LCO method is: \r
\r
Liquid - Water, (aka moisture) our hair loves it and needs it, dont let anyone tell you anything else. This is the key to length retention. The trouble with low porosity hair is the ability to absorb this and keep it in for days. Low porosity hair doesnt need cold water, it needs warm water and heat in order for the cuticles to open. \r
\r
Cream - Means leave in conditioner. This is very important to do because youre coating your hair with extra moisture. There for the key ingredients your products should be water. Especially conditioners should be water based for low porosity hair. This will also make your hair soft.\r
\r
Oil- Depending on your porosity your hair may prefer certain oils than others. My low porosity hair loves lighter oils as: Argan oil, Grapeseed oil and jojoba oil. \r
