President Trump has reportedly considered using Twitter and other public forums to lash out against ongoing allegations of extramarital affairs.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that, despite the president's silence thus far about his alleged affairs, he has discussed the matter privately with advisers and they have warned him not to engage.
They are said to have explained that such commentary would not be appropriate for a sitting president and that the women do not seem to be negatively influencing his supporters.
The Journal's report was released on the heels of an on-camera interview Karen McDougal gave to CNN about her alleged 10-month affair with Trump in 2006.
Despite Trump's marriage to Melania Trump, the former Playboy model claimed, "There were real feelings between the two of us."
Also speaking out is Stephanie Clifford, an adult film star who goes by the name Stormy Daniels.
CBS News' "60 Minutes" is slated to air an interview with her on March 25.
