39 of us butchered by ISIS, our netas lose the plot; how do we make ISIS pay? — Speak Out India
  • 6 years ago
Almost four years after being abducted by ISIS in Iraq, the government today confirmed the worst. That 39 construction workers were infact dead. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today in parliament said the government wanted to give closure to the families of the 39 Indians abducted in Mosul only after getting irrefutable evidence. And the DNA of 38 people matched with the bodies discovered by the government. Even as it chose to not inform the grieving families. But what’s worrying is the politics that already playing out on the issue while the congress has called it a massive failure of the government and external affairs minister. In a rare attack, Sushma Swaraj hit out at the congress for indulging in a very low level of politics by not allowing her to speak in Lok Sabha. The question we are asking on Speak Out India, could this have been handled better? And should the congress have refrained from causing ruckus on a matter as sensitive as this?
