According to Business Insider, Walmart has filed patents for six types of drones that help automate the farming process. Sources say its unlikely the retail giant is planning on going into the farming business. Instead, it will sell the drones to partner farms in an attempt to make them more efficient. In terms of the consumer's side, this could result in higher supplies of fruits and vegetables and lower prices.
