Republicans Struggle to Salvage Congressional Seat In Pennsylvania
  • 6 years ago

On Tuesday, Republicans are scrambling to avoid a political disaster in a conservative district of Pennsylvania, where a pro-gun, pro-union Democrat could win a congressional election. Democrat Conor Lamb, a 33-year-old Marine veteran and former federal prosecutor, is in a close race with Republican state Representative Rick Saccone in Tuesday’s special election. Republicans have held the seat in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2003 and do plan on giving it up.
