Flooded Barron Falls gushes after heavy rainfall in Queensland
  • 6 years ago
The aftermath of the torrential rainfall that took place and flooded Barron Falls in Far North Queensland is laid bare in this footage filmed on March 10.

The video shows the waterfall of Barron Falls, overcome by large gushes of water due to burst river banks.

In the video, water crashes into the rocks far below.

Writes the filmer: "Barron Falls has become an awe-inspiring, ferocious waterfall that many have likened to Niagara Falls!"

Local Australian news have reported that the region has been hammered by rough weather over the past four days, with more than 600mm of rain.

The torrential rain has started to ease slightly, however forecasters have warned a cyclone could be looming right around the corner.
