President Trump has expressed his condolences for the victims who were taken hostage and eventually found dead at a California veterans facility Friday.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic situation in Yountville and mourn the loss of three incredible women who cared for our Veterans," Trump tweeted.
According to CNN, the nearly eight-hour standoff came to an end after the suspected gunman, identified as 36-year-old Albert Wong, was found dead along with three female employees he had taken hostage.
His motive has thus far not been made public, but Wong, a reported veteran and former client of the facility, is believed to have suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder.
