Denying his wife Hasin Jahan’s allegation of treason, Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami on Friday said that he would prefer death before betraying his country. Recently, Shami's name has been withheld from the new BCCI Central Contracts list, but he showed his faith in BCCI and said that he has full faith that the board will be behind him no matter what and will accept its decision. Shami’s wife has accused him of assault and having extramarital affairs by posting screenshots of text messages of questionable nature that Shami allegedly exchanged with various women.
