Synopsis:
The year is 2030. Global warning has turned parts of the American Midwest into a desert. In an attempt to stop the economic recession, a government agency, the Office of Humanity, hunts out members of society deemed unproductive and banishes them to a colony called New Eden. An ambitious and impartial social worker investigates a case brought to him by an unmarried mother and her son.
