Thousands of Fiorentina fans have paid their respects today (March 8) by observing a moment of silence outside the church where the funeral of Italian football player Davide Astori was taking place.

The video, which was shot today in Santa Croce square in Florence, shows fans waving flags to honour the memory of the Fiorentina captain, who was found dead on Sunday at the age of 31.
