Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday announced Biplab Kumar Deb as the Chief Minister Designate of Tripura. Biplab Kumar Deb, after accepting the designation, said that Jishnu Deb Burman will be his deputy. Bharatiya Janata Party swept the assembly elections in Tripura for the first time in history.
